Vic Edangal

Vic graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000. He started his professional career working in all aspects of orthopedic and neurological hospital settings from 2000- 2009. He worked directly with orthopedic and neuro- surgeons for joint replacements, sports injuries, laminectomies, fractures as well as vascular insults. Vic values continuing education so he moved to London, United Kingdom for his Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Healthcare Management and he also completed the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Series course and other advanced courses in Vestibular, Concussion and Intramuscular Stimulations ( Kinetacore) to name a few.

Since 2014, he started working in private practice and delivers his best to serve his clients. He valued hands-on techniques and eyes on patients to ensure new strategies instead of old habits to make a change on how their bodies moved.

Vic is always up for a challenge and feels blessed to be a physiotherapist and interact with amazing people each day.

When not at work, he is cycling and finding new places to relax his mind. He loves to take his young family and tries new things around the city and overseas.

Jamine Lagrido
Registered Massage Therapist

Jasmine Lagrido

For many years, Jasmine has had a keen interest in the mechanical and reflex effects of massage. This interest fueled her motivation to complete advanced Kinesiology courses and to pursue her passion to complete the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College.
Jasmine listens deeply to what the body needs to improve joint function and help reverse symptoms caused by stress, depletion, or other disturbances. Jasmine was also heavily involved in competitive soccer all throughout her elementary, high school, and post-secondary studies. She overcame many injuries and Musculo-skeletal imbalances.
Her arsenal of knowledge and field experience includes hands-on training in deep tissue massage, proper techniques in myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and equally important patient education. She looks forward to providing an optimal environment to resolve ongoing issues and improve your everyday wellbeing.

Dr. Merhaweet Sahlezghi, DC

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC where she completed her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University in 2019 following her two years of collegiate-level soccer in Oregon. Merhaweet then went on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where she graduated with honors in 2024.

Merhaweet has been heavily involved with sports and athletics throughout her life which has enhanced her knowledge on the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. Merhaweet is focused on promoting patient health with integrative techniques to achieve full functional capabilities through individualized chiropractic rehabilitation. Merhaweet has had extensive hands-on clinical experience treating the spine, extremities, as well as other areas of the body. With the use of evidence-based techniques, her approach to care includes chiropractic manipulations, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, cupping, and instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM).

Merhaweet is looking forward to working with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds. In addition, she holds extra course work training in Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab (FAKTR), as well as being a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association which specializes in pregnancy and pediatrics. Through the ICPA she received her certification in Webster Technique which focuses on treatment to optimize the journey throughout pregnancy including pre and post natal care.

In Merhaweet’s spare time out of office you can usually find her outdoors playing soccer, cycling, exploring while hiking or simply enjoying a cup of coffee at a local shop.


Kevin Chu, BKin, BCAK

As a human movement specialist, Kevin specializes in helping people recover from musculoskeletal injuries and other chronic health conditions that cause mobility issues.Kevin is skilled in designing exercise programs that effectively address injuries and help you manage your pain.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from The University of British Columbia and has worked as a Community Kinesiologist with ICBC and WSBC clients. He is also an experienced personal trainer who enjoys helping people reach their health and wellness potential.

In his spare time, Kevin trains at the gym, reads, and spends time with family and friends.

Kevin is committed to his clients’ long-term well-being, and can happily provide service in English or Cantonese.

Miguel Quito, RMT(c)

Miguel is currently enrolled in his final semester at Langara College’s RMT program. Having previously worked as a bodyworker for several years, Miguel is now following his passion to acquire a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge in his field. At Langara, Miguel has learned many massage techniques, fostered a deep understanding of the body’s systems and musculature, and gained hands-on experience while working with the public at the Langara Student Clinic.

With compassion and understanding, Miguel is able to create a unique treatment catered to each individual’s needs and goals. Miguel is excited to continue learning after his RMT program concludes, and plans to study other modalities of massage including graston and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization.
Outside the clinic there’s a good chance you’ll find Miguel at the gym, weightlifting or practicing acrobatics (he can do a mean handstand!). His dedication to health, personal fitness and self-discipline motivates his desire to better understand the human body and helps inform his massage practice.

Cherry Balagosa, RMT(c)

Currently completing her final semester of the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara. From an early age, she has embraced an active lifestyle, with health and fitness becoming deeply rooted habits. Her fascination with body mechanics and the intricacies of our physiological system, she finds herself drawn to the field of Massage Therapy.
Her approach is a collaborative, client-centered therapeutic relationship where she values and respects the ethical, sociocultural, and interpersonal aspects of therapist- client interactions. Committed to delivering tailored outcomes reflecting each client’s unique clinical presentation, Cherry prioritizes her client’s well-being and aims to support and empower them to find happiness and feel resilient within their bodies.

Langara’s intensive program has taught Cherry a variety of modalities, driven by her passion for sharing knowledge. Cherry’s continuing- education plans include: Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Craniosacral, Muscle Energy and Visceral Manipulation Techniques.

Dedicated to inclusivity, Cherry is particularly passionate about serving the LGBTQIA2+ community. She also possesses receptive bilingual skills in Visaya and Filipino, understanding both dialects proficiently.

Chantel Vogrig, RMT(c)

Chantel is a recent graduate of the Registered Massage Therapy Program at Langara College. Awaiting to write her entry to practice exam in September 2024 to become a registered massage therapist, she aims to continue advancing her knowledge and hands-on experience in addition to her recent completion of the 2-year massage therapy clinical internship. She has gained a valuable understanding of the human body through her studies in such subjects as anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal kinesiology, pathology, and neurology. Chantel’s experience in the student clinic and various outreaches to long-term care homes, hospitals, gyms, and other special events has allowed her to foster skills in manual therapy and further reinforce her passion towards supporting others through massage.
Chantel’s ongoing interest in massage therapy expands as she has learned that each individual is unique, and therefore, believes that each treatment should be unique to that individual. She works based on the client’s personal goals and commits to a patient-centered practice.
Alongside her professional goals and interests, Chantel enjoys playing soccer, baked goods, and karaoke!
Marjorie Lim
Home Health Physiotherapy

Marjorie Lim

Marjorie is a fully registered physiotherapist in Canada, New York, USA and the Philippines. She started working for Vancouver and Pitt Meadows clinics back in 2018. She handled WCB, ICBC and other clients with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

She worked with a team of international physiotherapists at SinoUnited Health
Shanghai, China where she encountered numerous orthopaedic and musculoskeletal expat patients. She participated in different events in China as a voluntary physiotherapist starting with the British International Primary and Secondary School Basketball Tournament, followed by the Shanghai International Touch Tournament, FOBISSEA (Soccer) Dulwich College in Pudong, McCallan Cup Golf Tournament at Tianma Golf and the Tianma Christmas Golf Tournament.

During these participations pretaping to prevent injuries, a lot of athlete education and treatment of acute injuries were done.

She also had the chance to attend an introduction course on Polestar Rehab
Pilates (R1/R2) at Body Concept. She also wrote an article about Proper Body Mechanics in a Japanese magazine while working for SinoUnited Health.

Back in 2009, Marjorie had an exposure in Singapore with Rugby players by giving them pre-taping and acute care.

In the Philippines she worked in a hospital setting at Cardinal Santos Medical Center where treated patients with musculoskeletal and neurological cases. She also became the Senior Physical Therapist and Clinical Manager at Health Hub Pro.

She also attended numerous Continuing education seminars such as Positional Release Technique, Spinal Manipulation (by Prof. Umansakar) and became a certified Dorn Method

Marjorie spends her time off taking care of 3 wonderful kids. She still continues gaining experiences and knowledge by attending seminars such as application of Nasara Taping and Kinesiotape together with attending the Annual Convention of Medical Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals which focused on recent innovations in providing up to date patient care.

Karmeena Binning

Karmeena Binning

Karmeena graduated with a degree in Bachelors of Psychology with a minor in Counselling and Human Development in Simon Fraser University and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Counselling Psychology in Yorkville University. Her areas of interest within the field have come from previous life and professional experience. Her heavy involvement in team activities and sports became a significant role in influencing her drive in becoming a counsellor. It was through these experiences she was able to develop characteristics such as empathy and understanding, given the diverse population she has learned to adapt and change the way she works with each individual that is unique to their needs. 

Her interest in the field include and are not limited to the use of CBT for individuals with a specific interest in post-traumatic stress disorder. Within her career she has worked with individuals that present with anxiety, depression, trauma & grief, relationships and personal development. Karmeena is always looking to expand her knowledge and deepen her skill set in working with all individuals. 

Outside of work, Karmeena spends her time exploring the outdoors where she enjoys local hikes, kayaking and snowboarding.

Mitch Tañada
Student Massage Therapist

Mitch Tañada

Mitch is currently studying in Langara to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She learned many skills through her outreach experiences and Clinical Practicum. Prior to her career shift, she graduated from Our Lady of Fatima University-Philippines, earning her double degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Through her own health journey, Mitch experienced the healing effects of Massage Therapy both physically, mentally and emotionally. She knew she wanted to share this approach with others which led her to pursue her career as an RMT.

Mitch aims to tailor massage treatments to each patient encounter so as to meet individual treatment goals and expectations. As she continues to grow as a massage therapist, she looks forward to take more courses to further her education, to be able to give the best client care possible. She’s a life-long learner to the practice of Massage Therapy and love refining and enhancing her manual therapy skills and knowledge.

Besides Massage Therapy, Mitch enjoys photography, kitty-cuddles, and hiking with her husband, friends and family.

Christine Edangal

Christine is a licensed Physical Therapist in the Philippines. She has served both in private and public sectors. She was awarded by the public sector for her dedication as Director and Senior Physical Therapist of Stimulation and Therapeutic Activity Centre ( Children and Adult Rehabilitation) and had rotated in major tertiary acute care hospitals in her home country during her 10 months internship where she gained valuable experience in customer service and patient care.
At present, she also runs the administration and other related tasks of a home health physiotherapy service in Metro Vancouver. Christine enjoys cooking, baking and going out with her husband and kids. Some days she makes sure that she uses her treadmill and abdometer to stay healthy and fit.

Kate, a high school student with aspirations of becoming a physiotherapist, is considering pursuing kinesiology as part of her educational path. She possesses a strong interest in the field of human kinetics and human anatomy. She finds great pleasure in dedicating her time to activities within the gym to become a strong and healthy individual.

As an energetic individual, she also takes pleasure in embarking on scenic walks. Kate demonstrates commendable time management abilities, effectively juggling her personal and academic commitments. During her leisure hours, she finds enjoyment in baking, cooking, maintaining a journal, and frequenting the gym.
